Disruptive Pattern Desert Uniform, Series 2, Australia

With initial feedback suggesting the series 1 DPDU pattern was 'too light' in colouring the Series 2 DPDU reverted to the 5 colour pattern of the original Australian DPCU. The base colour changed to a creamy/ white colour with an overlay of two grey shades, a light olive green and the same chocolate brown as used in the series 1 pattern camouflage. This pattern was issued around mid 2002 to early 2003. It was used in Afghanistan by SASR and support elements from both Army and RAAF units. I have also heard it may have been used by Australian Forces in the International MFO, Sinai. I have yet to confirm this.
