In early 2009 the Royal Australian Navy started issuing their own fatigues in what is now termed as Disruptive Pattern Navy Uniform ( DPNU ) In keeping with the ubiquitous Australian 5 colour Auscam style to assist in Nationality recognotion, this was developed in the full 5 colour print. The base colour is a light grey with a full pattern consisting of a medium grey, dark grey, dark blue and green camouflage overlays. The fatigues replace the RANs old light grey overalls. The fatigues have high visibility silver bands to the shirt/ top arms and the legs. Many thanks to Benny Y, a collector friend from Hong Kong who specialises in Australian uniforms, for the scan of this, as yet, rare pattern of Australian camouflage.
